What is the UWU election?
Every four years, UWU holds a national convention of elected union delegates who come together to discuss our priorities for the coming years. During convention, UWU delegates, the Member Council and the National Executive discuss strategy and make sure our aims align with the mission of our union.
These elections matter because they influence the union's direction, priorities, organising culture and accountability to members.

Why GWU is backing Members First
We're backing Members First because we believe in building a stronger, more connected union for Grill'd workers. Their platform centres member power, stronger delegates, face-to-face organising, financial transparency and a more open union culture.

Lacey Comiskey is standing for Member Convention
Former Grill'd worker and UWU member Lacey Comiskey is standing for election to the UWU Member Convention as part of the Members First team. Lacey has been active in supporting Grill'd workers, including standing with UWU members during the 2024/25 EA campaign. We wish her the best of luck.
Make your vote count
